Overview
There are various grades of stainless steel. They are classified into different grades, based on their properties. 254 SMO pipe is one such pipe that is considered to be a high austenitic grade. It is three times stronger than stainless steel 300 series. 254 SMO pipe is effective against pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking. 254 SMO pipe is known for its high ductility and good impact strength. It is also known as Molybdenum 6 due to the addition of trace amounts of molybdenum.

Alloy 800 - The 800 series alloys (Incoloy 800, 800H and 800HT) are nickel-iron-chromium super alloys that provide high temperature strength and excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization and other types of high temperature corrosion.
